Orchard General Hands

We require versatile Orchard Hands to keep Fairfield growing. As an Orchard Hand, your work could include maintaining irrigation, tractor driving, maintenance of support structures, and general orchard work. It might include pack house and yard work during the harvest season. You might have your Growsafe certificate and work as a qualified spray applicator. You could be working with the canker team on a crisp frosty morning.

The work you do will vary depending on your skills and experience. You'll be gaining more horticulture knowledge, skills and experience as you work. If you want to upskill and progress within the industry we can help you with that too.

You must be reliable, physically fit and have reliable transport. You will need a NZ Driver’s license. You must be legally able to work in NZ.

Hours: Our normal hours are weather dependent but generally 7.30 am to 4.30 pm Mon – Fri with some Saturday work. Longer will be required during peak season (March & April).

Requirements: All applicants will need to have photo ID and proof they are eligible to work in NZ. A valid Driver's license must be supplied for this role.
