Orchard Supervisor / Team Leader

Step into a leadership role with a progressive, family-owned orchard business growing premium apples and Gold kiwifruit across the Tasman region. This is a hands-on supervisory role for an experienced orchard hand ready to lead a team - or an established supervisor looking for their next move. We'll shape the role around your experience and back you with training to grow.
About the role
As a team supervisor, you'll lead a team of orchard workers - putting the work plan into action, recording work completed, and monitoring and correcting quality as you go. You'll be supported directly by the Pipfruit Manager. The work is varied and shifts through the seasons, so no two months look quite the same.
The role suits an experienced orchard supervisor, or someone with solid horticultural experience ready to take the step up into team leadership. We can provide additional training to build your supervisory skills, and we'll adjust the role to suit your experience.
What you'll be doing
- Leading and supervising a team of orchard workers day to day
- Implementing the work plan and keeping the team on track
- Recording work completed and maintaining accurate daily records
- Monitoring work quality and correcting standards as needed
- Working alongside and reporting to the senior Orchard Manager
- Supporting varied orchard operations as they change through the year
What you'll bring
- Hands-on horticultural experience in pipfruit or kiwifruit
- Supervisory or team-leadership experience, or readiness to step into it
- Reliability and good physical fitness
- A current New Zealand driver's licence and reliable transport
- The legal right to work in New Zealand
- A GrowSafe certificate or similar qualification is an advantage
What we offer
- A generous remuneration package
- Additional training to build your supervisory skills, with the role shaped around your experience
- Varied work across the season with an established, well-respected grower
- Direct support from the Pipfruit Manager
- The lifestyle of the sunny Tasman region
Hours
Our hours are weather-dependent but generally 7.30am–4.30pm, Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work. Longer hours may be required during peak season (March and April).
